These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the user agreement between you and MangaloreDiary ("we", "us") for MangaloreDiary Careers at https://mangalorediary.in/careers (the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. Effective from 1 November 2026.
1. What the Platform is
The Platform is an online service where employers publish job openings and job seekers find and apply for them. We are an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Job listings, company profiles and applications are created by employers and job seekers, not by us. We do not employ you, we are not a party to any employment contract formed between you and an employer, and we do not guarantee that you will be interviewed or hired.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. Employers must be authorised to hire on behalf of the organisation they represent. You must give accurate information and keep your account details secure.
3. Using the Platform is free for job seekers
We do not charge job seekers for browsing or applying. No one on the Platform is authorised to collect money from you for a job, interview, training, registration or visa.
4. Rules for employers
- Post only genuine, current vacancies that you are entitled to fill, with accurate details about the role, location, pay and how to apply.
- Do not ask candidates for any payment or deposit, or for identity documents or bank details before a genuine offer.
- Follow all applicable laws, including laws on equal opportunity, wages and working conditions. For jobs outside India, you must hold the registrations and permissions required under the Emigration Act, 1983 and related rules, and state them in the listing.
- Use candidates' personal data only to assess their application for the role, and protect it as the law requires.
- Remove or update a listing once it is filled or expired.
5. Rules for everyone
You must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:
- belongs to another person and to which you have no right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, or harassing, defamatory, hateful or discriminatory;
- harms minors, or infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- deceives or misleads about the origin of the message, or impersonates another person or organisation;
- contains software viruses or code meant to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, public order, or friendly relations with other countries, or is otherwise unlawful.
You must not scrape the Platform in bulk, bypass its security, send unsolicited promotions to candidates, or use applicant data for any purpose other than hiring.
6. Our rights over content and accounts
We review listings and may approve, edit, reject, suspend or remove any listing, profile or account that breaks these Terms, appears fraudulent or misleading, or that we are required to remove by law. Where we can, we will tell you why.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it on the Platform and with the people you choose to share it with (for example, an employer you apply to), for the purpose of running the Platform. You confirm that you have the right to give us this content.
8. Our content
The Platform's design, text, logos and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as the law allows or with our written permission.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work to keep the Platform accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". We do not verify every employer or listing and do not guarantee that any listing is genuine, accurate or current. Please read our Disclaimer and take care before sharing personal information or paying anyone. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or for the acts or omissions of employers, job seekers or other third parties. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the law. We may also, from time to time, remind you of these Terms and our policies.
11. Complaints
To report a listing, content or account, or to make any complaint, use the process on our Grievance Redressal page.
12. Changes
We may change these Terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Using the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mangaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection or other laws that cannot be waived.
