Nadige 2026 is returning to Udupi as a three-day used footwear collection campaign aimed at giving unwanted but usable footwear a second life.
The campaign will take place at MGM College, Udupi, from October 23 to 25, 2026, between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. It is being organised in association with GreenSole Foundation and the NSS unit of MGM College, Udupi.
The initiative encourages residents, educational institutions, companies, apartment associations and social organisations to collect and donate footwear that is clean and still suitable for use. The collected footwear will be sent to GreenSole for refurbishment and reuse, with the resulting footwear intended for people who need it.
The campaign builds on an earlier Nadige collection drive in Udupi. According to current reports, the earlier campaign collected more than 18,000 pairs of footwear, exceeding its initial target of 5,000–6,000 pairs.
For donors, the process is simple: identify footwear that is no longer being used but remains in good condition, clean it and bring it to the Nadige collection centre at MGM College during the campaign dates.
What Happens to Donated Footwear?
The collected footwear is intended to be sent to GreenSole Foundation for processing and refurbishment.
The campaign's stated model is:
Unused footwear → Collection at MGM College → GreenSole → Refurbishment / Upcycling → Distribution to people in need
Current reporting says the collected footwear will be processed by GreenSole and made available to people who need footwear.
