Ankura – 2nd Edition is a Bharatanatyam presentation by Nrityaangan, designed as a platform to support, nurture, and encourage budding dancers in the 8–18 years age group. As the name suggests, Ankura represents a beginning — a space where young dancers can perform, grow, and gain recognition for their artistic journey in classical dance.

Launched last year, the initiative received an enthusiastic response from young artistes and dance lovers alike. Building on that success, Nrityaangan now presents the second edition of Ankura, bringing together a fresh lineup of Bharatanatyam performers for an evening dedicated to classical dance, talent, and mentorship.

The event will feature Bharatanatyam performances by Vishnupriya Rajesh (Kerala), disciple of Smt. Manju V. Nair; Riddhi Harish Shetty (Kinnigoli), disciple of Smt. Annapoorna Ritesh; Aarya Deepak (Al Ain, UAE), disciple of Smt. Radhika Shetty; and Vandhana Sreenivasa Sarma (Dubai), disciple of Smt. Bhuvaneswari Rathinam.

The organisers have also announced that Dr. Manjari Chandra Pushparaj, noted Bharatanatyam artiste and Artistic Director of Srishti Nritya Kala Kuteera, will attend the event as the distinguished guest.

Ankura – 2nd Edition is curated by Smt. Radhika Shetty and reflects Nrityaangan’s continuing effort to create meaningful performance opportunities for young classical dancers. With participants representing different regions and training backgrounds, the event promises an evening of Bharatanatyam rooted in discipline, expression, and artistic tradition.
